#Social Overeating
From the immense purchase of goods, implicit in Black Friday (MGGJ 2019), jammers at IED Istituto Europeo di Design will focus on a wider and more transversal type of consumerism, in which the physical product will be accompanied with the more symbolic one – virtual, spiritual, experiential … The exceptional times we are living require us, in particular, a reflection on the space and time dedicated to the nourishment of body, soul and mind.
Whenever the “outside” is foreclosed, and time, dilating, stops being a luxury, the choice of contents determines, perhaps even more, our identity based on the quality, quantity and modality of what we consume. In this scenario, sustainable development also acquires specific connotations, bringing new ways of reflecting on and in tackling the 17 Global Goals and their increasingly close correlations and interdependencies.
#Social Overeating, the 2020 Rome Global Goals Jam will focus on SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being).
Jammers at the Rome Global Goals Jam will interact and design together with the Jammers at the Milan Global Goals Jam.
